Octoberfest is co-sponsored by Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation and will take place both in Miller Park as well as along Crystal Street on Oct 23rd from 11am-Dark, Oct 24th raindate.
Vendors: We’re seeking artists/ artisans, crafts persons as well as non-profit organizations and members of our local farming community to join in this event and offer goods and/or activities that celebrate Autumn in the Poconos. Categories include, but are not limited to, seasonal produce, home canning, home-baked goods (pies, fudge, candy apples etc) arts, crafts, and needlework, ceramics, pottery and wood works, seasonal decorations and items. In addition, in light of current community action for the preservation of the East Stroudsburg Station (Dansbury Depot), we are also seeking vendors of train related goods and items that celebrate our local railroad history here in East Stroudsburg.

ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
The annual Memorial Day Parade sponsored by the United Veterans Organization of Monroe County will be held Monday May 30, 2011. beginning at 10:00 a.m. This year's parade will be as big as ever and will follow the regular parade route starting from East Stroudsburg South High School down North/South Courtland Street to Washington Street , then over the Interborough Bridge , into Stroudsburg and ending near Main and 7 th Streets. Veteran's organizations, boy and girl scouts, area Fire Departments, Police Departments, County Sheriffs Office, and other community groups will participate in the Parade along with marching bands from the East Stroudsburg Area and Stroudsburg Area School Districts . LEVEE-LOOP ANNUAL FITNESS FESTIVAL

Times: Race begins at 8:30 am, Registration at 7:00 am
Festival: 8 am-Noon.
Fee: $20/early registration before May 9, $25 after May 9
Join us on National Trails Day for a 4.5 mile timed run over hills, through water, on the Levee Loop Trail along the Brodhead Creek and through our local parks. A fitness walk for all ages and abilities follows the Run. Register online or by picking up a form at the Day Street Community Center.

The American Freedom Festival
Monday July 4, 2011 from 2pm to 9pm
in East Stroudsburg's Dansbury Park
This year's American Freedom Festival is sure to draw a huge crowd. As in year's past local non-profit groups, artists, businesses, and other institutions will be present to show the community what they have been up to all year. Rimsky amusments will provide rides for children, and the culinary midway will be running full tilt, with a wide selection of food vendors. Don't forget, the ECA stage will be the place for live music throughout the day!
Fireworks will start at about 9:15pm. This years show will be put together by Castiglione Fireworks of Analomink, PA. They will be visible from both sides of the Broadhead Creek. Remember to bring a blanket or lawn chair!
50/50 Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets are on sale now at the ECA office, East Stroudsburg Hardware, Ris-K Lingerie (Stroudsburg) and Liztech. Tickets will be sold under the following price system;
- 1 ticket for 2 dollars,
- 3 tickets for 5 dollars, or
- 10 tickets for 10 dollars.
More ticket vending locations will be announced soon, raffle tickets will also be sold at the main entrance to the Freedom Festival, and attendees are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets in lieu of an entrance fee.
