ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

The annual Memorial Day Parade sponsored by the United Veterans Organization of Monroe County will be held Monday 25, 2008 beginning at 10:00 a.m. This year's parade will be as big as ever and will follow the regular parade route starting from East Stroudsburg South High School down North/South Courtland Street to Washington Street , then over the Interborough Bridge , into Stroudsburg and ending near Main and 7 th Streets. Veteran's organizations, boy and girl scouts, area Fire Departments, Police Departments, County Sheriffs Office, and other community groups will participate in the Parade along with marching bands from the East Stroudsburg Area and Stroudsburg Area School Districts . LEVEE-LOOP ANNUAL FITNESS FESTIVAL

Saturday, June 7

Times: Race begins at 8:30 am, Registration at 7:00 am  Festival: 8 am-Noon.

   Fee: $20/early registration before May 9, $25 after May 9

Join us on National Trails Day for a 4.5 mile timed run over hills, through water, on the Levee Loop Trail along the Brodhead Creek and through our local parks. A fitness walk for all ages and abilities follows the Run. Register online or by picking up a form at the Day Street Community Center.

AMERICAN FREEDOM FESTIVAL AT DANSBURY PARK

Eastburg Community Alliance (ECA) in conjunction with East Stroudsburg Borough will again be sponsoring the fifth annual American Freedom Festival, including Fireworks, at Dansbury Park on Wednesday July 4 th , the national holiday. There's free admission for all, Great Food, Live Bands, Kids Playground, Swimming Pool, Craft & Merchant Bazaar, and plenty of fun and games! Plus a great Fireworks show at dusk! Ride Amusements all day for $10.00. Free Parking is available in downtown East Stroudsburg within walking distance of Dansbury Park . “NATIONAL NIGHT OUT” FAMILY FUN DAY AT DANSBURY PARK

The East Stroudsburg Borough Neighborhood Crime Watch will again sponsor a Family Day at Dansbury Park, on Sunday August 12, 2007, in conjunction with the “National Night Out” observances by Crime Watch groups nationwide.
